Our Story...

Her Story​

Emily was born and raised in Pearland, TX, a suburb of Houston. After studying Political Science and History at Texas A&M University (WHOOP!), she returned to Houston, TX to begin her life as a working adult. She is currently employed with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic and working to start her own business as an event coordinator - Galas and Gifts!

Emily loves poodles and hates things that aren't poodles. She knits often in the spare time she creates by ignoring the laundry.

His Story​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Raphael was born in Alexandria, VA, and moved with his parents to Houston, TX and then Pearland in his early years. He is currently studying Computer Engineering at the University of Houston (Go Coogs!), with plans to graduate in the Spring of 2014. He dreams of opening a restaurant in his retirement, or possibly teaching at a university or community college.​​ ​

Raphael loves cabbage and hates elephants. He has logged more video game hours than his Italian brothers, Mario and Luigi. ​

​Their Story

Emily and Raphael met in high school, at Pearland High School, in, you guessed it - Pearland, TX! Raphael alleges that he courted Emily during this time, but Emily insists that they were just friends, and had no idea that he "liked" her. Their story starts with Raphael's broken heart, and begins again with an Illinois winter proposal, on the lawn at Emily's Grandparent's farm. 

They spend their time practicing their many hobbies, taking walks up and down the creek and supervising roughhousing between their dogs.
