The wedding! The event of the year (or 2.5 years, but who's counting?)!

We'll be saying our vows in a city park, inside a beautiful gazebo. Seating will be provided for everyone, as well as some pretty sweet hand-held program fans, in the event of Texas warmth. Come watch us say our vows under a big Texas sky. What to wear? Think picnic chic, because it will, infact, be a picnic! Don't forget we'll be outside, and it's May, and it's Texas. Feel free to ask us if you're not sure what to wear.

Parking for the ceremony is the same as parking for the party. There is ample parking on Avenue G, adjacent to the park, and around Johnson City City Hall, in the square right in front of the Brewery.

Please join us for the ceremony by entering straight into the park. We've been asked to avoid the front entrance of the restaurant, as they will still be operating their normal Saturday schedule.

This is one party you're going to want to attend! It's been in the making for two years, under the diligent hands of me, Emily, the bride. (This paragraph may change as the wedding nears, and I start to feel pressure and nerves and want to lower expectations of potential party attendees.)

The party will be located in the Beer Garden of Pecan Street Brewing. The garden is accesible via a gated fence, separating City Park from Pecan Street Brewing. Just follow the bride and groom, and get the party started!

We'll be serving wood-fired pizzas of many varieties (veggie, meat, veggiemeat) and salads, along side some of the best local beers and Texas Hill Country wine that we could find. You're invited back in to the park with your lunch to enjoy a picnic with us, your favorite bride and groom. Limited regular table seating is provided for those of you who aren't, you know, fun.

In addition to the delicious food and the awkward but enthusiastic dancing, you will also have the opportunity to return to Pecan Street, in their dance hall at 7 PM, for the after party. A great local band will be playing, and the Pecan Street Bar will be open late. Make sure to come back after a quick nap and keep the party going with us!

The welcome picnic is our version of a rehearsal dinner. We can't imagine only dining with some of you, though, and as this is a "destination" wedding, even for us, we thought what better way to spend more time with our friends and family than to invite you all to some pre-wedding fun at the local state park.

Please join us at a bar-b-que dinner hosted by Raphael's family, Audrey and Rob Freas.

Blanco State Park is a beautiful setting for your first evening in the Texas Hill Country. The Stone Pavilion is handicap accessible and has its own, ample parking area for your convenience.
