The X Games are being held in Austin this SAME WEEKEND, so it's likely the hotels will fill up even faster, though Johnson City is a bit outside of town. Just a note - the airport may be a bit busier than usual.
Remember: you can always cancel a hotel room,
but your suit doesn't look good after sleeping in your car!
